Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App and at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase a paid subscription. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. The Service

EnginPrep provides study tools for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, including practice problems, worked solutions, content review, mock exams, and progress tracking. The App is an independent study aid. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to NCEES or any licensing board, and we do not guarantee any particular exam result. Passing the FE exam depends on many factors outside our control.

4. Subscriptions, Free Trial, and Billing

Access to paid features requires a subscription. The following terms apply:

• Free trial: New subscribers may be offered a free trial period. You must provide a valid payment method to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis and renew automatically until canceled. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for each billing cycle.
• Pricing: Current pricing is shown on our pricing page. We may change prices, and will provide notice of changes before they take effect for you.
• Payment processing: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the customer billing portal. When you cancel:

• If you cancel during a free trial, you will not be charged, and access continues until the trial period ends.
• If you cancel a paid subscription, your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until then, and you will not be charged for the following period.
• Payments are generally non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, except where required by law or at our sole discretion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share, resell, or provide access to your account or the App's content to others
• Copy, reproduce, distribute, scrape, or create derivative works from the App's content except as expressly permitted
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other accounts, or our systems
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the App or its infrastructure
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its content — including practice problems, solutions, lessons, text, graphics, and software — are owned by EnginPeers or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the App for your own personal, non-commercial exam preparation. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. User Submissions

If you send us feedback, bug reports, suggestions, or other submissions, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use them to operate and improve the App, without obligation or compensation to you.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is complete, accurate, or current. The App is a study aid and does not guarantee exam success.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EnginPeers and its owners, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EnginPeers and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the App or its users. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
